Project Description
USA Environment, LP has been awarded multiple contracts by a preferred client to perform remediation, restoration, and other work at a former open-pit mine site. The 500- acre Remedial Action Site is slated to become a nature park, complete with trails, footbridges, and wetlands. The client has retained USA as the contractor since 2014, and USA has achieved 675,000 hours of injury-free work as of August 2019.
Project Highlights
- Design/Build Concept. Construction is initiated between 40%-60% design, offering several advantages to the client including a reduction in upfront design cost and compression of the project schedule.
- As of August 2019 the project team has worked approximately 675,000 man hours without a recordable or loss time accident. Site has implemented a variety of best practices that include 20/20 and biometric monitoring.
- Experienced project team with deep understanding of client’s safety culture, protocol and supply chain.
- Project spend expected to exceed $50MM through 2019. The success of this project led to other sites with USA as incumbent contractor.
